Acupuncture

MARS offers Auricular Acupuncture that is included in the weekly cost of treatment. It is a non-verbal treatment that allows an individual to learn how to relax and focus. It consists of the stimulation of specified locations in the ear. Either needles, the size of a hair, is gently inserted into the 5 points or seeds that are on surgical tape are placed on the points. The seeds can be worn from 3 to 5 days. All 5 points serve to balance the body’s energy and assist the body in the healing process. Together the combined effect of the 5-point protocol is yin tonification, restoring the calm inner qualities akin to serenity.

Patients have reported that they have been able to relax and sleep better. One patient reported their significant other had calmed down, which he/she was unable to do without the use of drugs. Other patients have reported that they really never believed in acupuncture, however after attending a session they were hooked! It really works!
